During tonight’s AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that AEW Big Business, a themed episode of Dynamite, will happen on Wednesday, March 5th at the TD Garden in Boston, MA. Khan said that it will be a night that the entire wrestling industry will remember and it will be one of the most important nights in AEW history.
There’s been a lot of talk about Mercedes Mone signing with the company and there are people who believe that she has already signed a contract with AEW. Boston is her hometown and would be the ideal place for her to debut. As seen in the tweet below, AEW is making it pretty obvious that she’s signed with them.
Mone is a 5-time WWE Raw Women’s Champion, a former NXT Women’s Champion, a former SmackDown Women’s Champion, and 3-time Women’s Tag Team Champion. She held the tag titles twice with Bayley and once with Naomi.
During her WWE run, she became one of the top names in the company. Mone and Naomi walked out of WWE in May of 2022. Mone worked some dates for New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2022 but she’s been sidelined since May 2023 after suffering an ankle injury during a match with Willow Nightingale at the NJPW Resurgence event.
