All Elite Wrestling is loading up tonight’s episode of Dynamite and added something else that may help out its television ratings.
The announcement
The show is being built around AEW President Tony Khan’s big announcement, which has been speculated to be the signing of Mercedes Mone or NJPW’s Kazuchika Okada – as both stars have interest from All Elite Wrestling.
It could also be the signing or the announcement of Dynamite being held in Boston, MA, the hometown of Mone, where she could then make her debut.
Rest of the show
Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page, with the winner getting a World Title shot against champion Samoa Joe at Revolution next month, is the biggest match confirmed for the show.
Also on tap include AEW World Tag Team Champions Big Bill & Ricky Starks vs. Sting & Darby Allin, Chris Jericho vs. Konosuke Takeshita, Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Mistico, Volador Jr. & Hechicero, and Toni Storm vs. Red Velvet w/Deonna Purrazzo on commentary in a Women’s World Title Eliminator Match.
Khan announced on Twitter that tonight’s show will have an overrun, which usually gives a bump to the final quarter of the show due to fans tuning in for the program that follows Dynamite.
