Vince McMahon Resigns From TKO

Vince McMahon has resigned from all his roles within TKO, including TKO Executive Chairman and on the TKO Board of Directors.

Allegations

The horrific allegations against McMahon were listed in a new lawsuit filed by Janel Grant, including allegations against former WWE exec John Laurinatis. She alleged McMahon coerced her into engaging in sexual activities with himself and other men and allegedly shared explicit photos of the victim with various men inside and outside of the company, including a former WWE/UFC Champion.

Deadline obtained the following statement:

“I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth,” McMahon said this evening. “I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name.

“However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effectively immediately,”

Gone for good

WWE President Nick Khan issued the following statement to the staff in an email tonight:

“I wanted to inform you that Vince McMahon has tendered his resignation from his positions as TKO Executive Chairman and on the TKO Board of Directors. He will no longer have a role with TKO Group Holdings or WWE.”

Dave Meltzer pointed out that McMahon doesn’t have the voting power in TKO that he once did in WWE, and this is officially the end of McMahon in the company as he can’t force his way back in like he did before the UFC-WWE merger that he approved after he resigned in the summer of 2022.
