Dustin Rhodes: I understand people want to see The Rock vs. Roman Reigns, but it’s Cody’s moment

Dustin Rhodes has weighed in on the debate of what WWE should do with WrestleMania 40 if they’re able to book The Rock for the show.

Getting to the moment

For months, the belief was that the top match at WWE WrestleMania 40 would be Cody Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title. Following his loss to Reigns at WrestleMania 39, Rhodes has been talking about completing his story at the upcoming event.

If The Rock will do the match with Reigns, Rhodes may not be able to complete his story as it’s speculated CM Punk vs. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins is the other top match on the card.

Dustin’s push

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Dustin Rhodes shared his take on what the company should do with his brother. He said Cody is on fire, and this is his time to be a top champion in WWE.

“I hope Cody’s in the main event spot against Roman,” said Rhodes. “Or it’s going to be The Rock. If it is The Rock, I’m pissed–this is Cody’s time. He is becoming the face of the company, and it’s paying off. But I get it. If it is The Rock, it’s still good business. I understand that there are a lot of people who love seeing The Rock. But I still think it’s Cody’s moment.”

Dustin will challenge Christian Cage for the TNT Title on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.
