Early estimate for AEW Worlds End 2023 PPV buys

AEW Worlds End presented its event from the and was a success on pay-per-view.

The show was headlined by AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF vs. Samoa Joe, and Joe dethroned MJF with a sleeper. The show also featured four of the Devil’s masked men who came out after the match and attacked MJF before Cole was revealed as The Devil. 

The masked men were revealed to be Roderick Strong, Wardlow, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett.

Coming out of the show while speaking to the media after the AEW PPV event, AEW President Tony Khan noted the show is looking to have done over 100,000 buys with 10,039 tickets out and a believed gate of around $800,000.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the TV PPV numbers as of Thursday showed Worlds End was down 2.0 percent from Full Gear the same number of days after the show.

Depending on late buys, that could end up or down. The digital buys were still identical to Full Gear. The current estimate right now based on these numbers would be 134,000.
