Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown is being stacked with a huge main event.
The match is not yet being advertised on WWE’s website but PWInsider is reporting that John Cena and AJ Styles will team up to face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa on tonight’s show.
That match was set up last week when a brawl broke out between both sides at the end of the show. This would be Cena’s first TV match since his return. He is also scheduled to wrestle at the Crown Jewel show in November and possibly once more before that.
So far, here is what is officially advertised for tonight:
– John Cena to appear on SmackDown
– IYO SKY will defend the Women’s Championship against Asuka
– Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar vs. The Street Profits
The belief is that Cena has been able to make appearances in recent weeks and for the next several weeks because he has extra time on his hands due to the Hollywood writer’s strike. Last week, in addition to show closing angle, Cena also interacted with The Rock backstage when the two shared a handshake and an embrace.
