AEW’s Plans for Rampage: Grand Slam

AEW will be returning to Arthur Ashe Stadium next week for Grand Slam, where they will hold a stacked episode of Dynamite.

There had been speculation about what AEW was going to do with Rampage, whether it be a normal one-hour program or expand it to a two-hour show on Friday, September 22.

All Elite Wrestling has confirmed Sting & Darby Allin will be in tag team action at Grand Slam: Rampage when they take on TNT Champion Christian Cage & Luchasaurus.

They’ve been feuding in recent weeks, including when Sting & Allin beat Christian & Swerve Strickland in a coffin match at last month’s All In pay-per-view in late August, followed by Luchasaurus defeating Allin to retain the TNT Championship at All Out earlier this month.

AEW has also teased a trios bout for it as Strickland issued a challenge to The Young Bucks & Hangman Page on behalf of Brian Cage & The Gates of Agony on Friday’s Rampage in a backstage promo.

The show is being listed by TNT’s schedule as a two-hour program beginning at the normal time of 10 p.m. Eastern time.
