If you missed tonight’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, there was a lot of star power on tonight’s show.
Pat McAfee and Austin Theory kicked it off with a back-and-forth exchange in the ring. That all led to The Rock coming out to a thunderous ovation. Rock and McAfee were not too far away from the building since they are in town for the Colorado State game. McAfee interviewed Rock earlier today on ESPN.
The segment on SmackDown with Rock gives McAfee a Rock Bottom and People’s Elbow. Later in the show, there was a backstage reunion that seemingly started off tense but then Cena welcomed Rock back home and they hugged.
What’s next for The Rock? During the ESPN interview with McAfee earlier today, he stated that he was scheduled to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles but plans fell through. He did hint that the match could happen next year in Philadelphia.
