LA Knight in Talks With WWE About a New Long-Term Deal

The push from WWE for LA Knight that fans had been waiting for is in motion after months of his performance on WWE television, whether that be on the microphone or in the ring.

Knight’s current push started after the August 5th SummerSlam PLE despite a recent report about how Knight is reportedly bad at backstage politics and has a reputation for rubbing some people the wrong way.

As previously reported after Payback, LA Knight was slotted as the top babyface on the internal SmackDown roster. At Payback, Knight scored a win over The Miz in a singles match that had John Cena serve as the special guest referee. Post-match, Cena endorsed Knight to the fans.

Pwinsider reports LA Knight and WWE officials have been negotiating a new long-term deal that is said to be either close to being finalized or has already been signed.

Some sources in the company believe the extension is for up to five years.
