He grew up alone an he’s going to win the Grand Slam tournament alone that starts tonight.

Backstage, Don Callis said Takeshita said they made history as they beat Kenny Omega twice in seven days. They are going to celebrate it next week in Cincinnati as well as reveal who their next target is going to be.

In the ring, MJF said he will be defending the AEW Championship on September 20th at Arthur Ashe Stadium. He said there is one person that needs to be taught a lesson. Samoa Joe came out. MJF said Joe came out here so quickly because he must have confused his ring entrance music with an ice cream truck. Joe said the last time he had anything to do with an ice cream truck was when he was busy being the biggest star of the other company’s network. Samoa Joe called him a kid and asked him what his problem was. Joe said when he got a tryout in WWE as a 19-year old, he was supposed to walk Joe to the ring, but Joe shoved him into a brick wall and laughed. MJF said he’s not a kid anymore and he’s full grown. Joe said he didn’t think of MJF as a kid when he threw him into the wall. He thought that he was a little bitch. MJF slapped Joe. Joe said he’s not going to take his bait and ruin his opportunity. He’s going to win the tournament and come after him. MJF turned around and as he was leaving the ring, Joe kicked the ropes which crotched MJF. Joe laid the boots to him, took off MJF’s belt from around his waist, and raised it in the air. MJF gave Joe a low blow and bit him. MJF charged at Joe but Joe caught him and gave him an Uranage. He was setting up MJF for the Muscle Buster when Adam Cole hit the ring causing Joe to leave. As MJF and Cole were leaving the ring, Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett were on their way to the ring and Strong again argued with Cole for being friends with MJF.

Strickland said you get a new perspective being in a coffin for two weeks and the first person he thought about when he got out was Page. Strickland said it seems like Page lost his way as he wrestled on the pre-show of All Out. He took a back seat to The Elite. Strickland said he is coming for Page’s spot that he doesn’t seem to want. Page said he’s done with this and he walked away. Strickland said it’s a shame Page’s wife and kids have to see him walk away from his responsibilities. Page came back in the ring but Brian Cage hit Page from behind and gave him a piledriver and the Drill Claw.
