Kurt Angle Angle has been making the media rounds to promote his new Peacock documentary.
While appearing on the Grue Rume Show, the WWE Hall of Famer discussed a wide range of topics, including a WWE star who is underrated. Angle made headlines earlier this week for his comments on the AEW-WWE war. Here are the highlights:
Being high on Kenny Omega and Ricochet:
“I like watching Kenny Omega wrestle for AEW. He’s a great wrestler. A great athlete. I love the guys, wrestlers like Ricochet in WWE. I think he’s really underrated. I think a guy like that can be a huge main eventer for the company and draw a lot of money for them. The matches that he has are just incredible.”
Who he would’ve wanted to wrestle:
“Bret Hart, I would have loved to work. Bret Hart. I think he’s one of the best technical wrestlers of all time. I put him up there with Chris Benoit, myself, and Eddie Guerrero, and I would have loved to work with him. He was the one guy when I got in the business that I was kind of focused on. This is who I want to work with eventually, someday. Unfortunately, he left the WWE a year before I came in, and he ended up getting injured in WCW and had to retire. So it was unfortunate. I didn’t get to wrestle him. Bret and I talk about it all the time. The one person he would have loved to wrestle was me. And, you know, we call each other every once in a while, and we talk about what would have been and what could have been, but the only thing it does is it ends up making us depressed. So we don’t talk about that much anymore.”
