Tony Khan Addresses CJ Perry’s (Lana) AEW Status Following All Out Debut

CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana, made her AEW debut following the Miro vs. Powerhouse Hobbs match at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The match ended when Miro hit a spinebuster of his own, then the camel clutch for the win. They shook hands after the match before Hobbs laid him out, leading to Perry coming out with a chair and hit Hobbs. Miro got the upper hand, and Miro seemed distraught after the match.

Perry was let go by WWE in June 2021 alongside several other stars. Perry has previously stated that she would ‘absolutely love‘ to debut for AEW, if the right story comes about and that story is now playing out.

While speaking with the media after the show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about her status.

“Well, CJ, let’s start with that. I think it’s great to have CJ here. It’s not a long-term guaranteed thing or anything, but at least for tonight, it was great to have her appearing with us, and I thought it was a great surprise. Miro and Hobbs was a match I thought would be really great for All Out.”

Khan also talked about the business of AEW All Out, Bryan Danielson’s return, Jungle Boy’s status, CM Punk’s departure and more.
