Today is the 8-year anniversary of one of WWE’s greatest matches and certainly the best women’s match in company history.
AT NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2005, Sasha Bank and Bayley wrestled each other in an incredible match that helped propel the NXT brand to a higher level in the eyes of many wrestling fans.
Banks, now known as Mercedes Money, sent out the following tweet to her friend Bayley: “Let’s do this again someday @itsBayleyWWE”
Whether the match happens in WWE or elsewhere is anyone’s guess. Mone has been recovering at home with an ankle injury and the belief is that she may be back soon but the date and show is unknown right now.
On this date in 2015, Bayley beat Sasha Banks to win the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn in one of the greatest matches in WWE history.
