WWE Had Ideas Pitched for a Bray Wyatt Stable With Mike Bennett as Sister Abigail

Bray Wyatt was sidelined with an illness shortly before WWE WrestleMania 39 in April and has yet to be medically cleared to make an in-ring return. He had been paired with Bo Dallas as Uncle Howdy and Alexa Bliss before he disappeared from TV.

When Wyatt first returned to WWE last year, he had puppets in the crowd as a call back to The Firefly Fun House segments, and there was speculation about a new group being created at the time.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that before WWE released them in 2020, Paul Heyman pitched to have Mike Bennett and Eric Young involved with Wyatt. The pitch was made to Bennett but not Young. This was pitched more than once, including an idea for Bennett to perform as Sister Abigail. Wyatt was released later that year.

A recent report about this claimed the plans got canceled, but Fightful notes that the pitches didn’t get far. The Fightful report notes more recent pitches for a new faction with Wyatt were made.

As previously reported, Young requested and was granted his WWE release this spring, leading to his return to Impact Wrestling on Saturday.

Fightful reports Young was to be involved in a new-style version of the Wyatt Family with both Bray Wyatt and Dallas. Creative plans were set in January and would’ve started after WrestleMania 39.

Once Wyatt was sidelined, things were put on hold, with Dallas disappearing from TV. Before she became pregnant, there were also pitches for Bliss to join the faction.
