WWE Has Changed Its Strategy Regarding Premium Live Events Announcements

The 2023 WWE premium live event schedule continues to come along as the company still needs to announce the date and locations for the Survivor Series in November as well as their second Saudi Arabia event, which traditionally takes place in the third week of October.

The latest event to be confirmed was done by Pat McAfee on his radio show Tuesday before interviewing Paul Heyman by announcing Fastlane will take place on October 7 from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that WWE has “tried to be as strategic as possible with PLE events, locations, and announcing them.” The factors that they consider include the economics, storyline, and audience growth when making these decisions.

WWE told Fightful that “by announcing the PLE events individually, it allows each announcement to have its own moment.”

This is a change from last year when WWE announced all their PLE locations and dates well ahead of time. The company has said to be very happy with how things have played out for them on PLE shows this year.
