Jon Moxley will be working for NJPW next month at their upcoming NJPW Strong Independence Day event that will be held over the course of two nights.
Earlier this month at Dominion, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, & Hiroshi Tanahashi retained their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles over Moxley, Shota Umino, & Claudio Castagnoli. This marked Moxley’s NJPW return match.
Now, he will be wrestling El Desperado twice at Independence Day. The match stipulation for their second bout has been revealed.
On Saturday at the New Japan Road show, a video aired with Moxley challenging him to face him in a Final Death Match. The bout will take place at night two of NJPW Strong Independence Day. Moxley added that there would be no winner but only a survivor.
Desperado accepted Moxley’s challenge and provided a little more details about the bout, which is an anything goes match. Moxley previously defeated Desperado in July 2022.

He said 'Final Death?' That sounds like anything goes to…
