Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo were the names listed by AEW on the promotional material for AEW Collision ahead of its premiere on June 17 as a new weekly Saturday night two-hour program on TNT.
Andrade has been out of action since September due to torn pec. He was also sent home by AEW in October after he was involved in a backstage fight with Sammy Guevara.
As previously reported, Andrade got surgery for the torn pec in late November, and based on the typical recovery time, he should be back in time for the launch of the new show.
While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Andrade should be back in time for Collision and is returning to the ring two days before Collision premieres for a show in Mexico.
“Andrade will be back in time because Andrade booked…Andrade is actually working a show in Mexico two days before, which I believe is going to be the first match back. So he should be back on that show and ready to go after his surgery to repair a torn pec,” Meltzer stated.
