Since her AEW arrival, Jade Cargill has been pushed strongly and is one of the top rising stars in all of AEW.
From the start in November 2020 when she made her promotional debut, she was pushed as a top star as she interrupted Cody Rhodes and mentioned that she would be bringing Shaquille O’Neal to AEW. The mixed tag team match was originally supposed to feature Brandi Rhodes, who was pulled from the match due to her pregnancy. AEW put Red Velvet in the match. In March 2021, Shaq and Jade went over in the match.
Cargill is now the TBS Champion and is still booked as a dominant force after beating Ruby Soho to become the inaugural champion in January 2022 on Dynamite. Her last title defense came against two local wrestlers on Friday’s episode of Rampage.
Cargill is slated to defend her title against Taya Valkyrie at the Double or Nothing pay-per-view event next Sunday night.
AEW touted this morning that Cargill has now reached 500 days as the TBS Champion and remains undefeated at 60-0.
