A big rumored heel turn happened tonight on WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
Women’s Champion Bianca Belair went out to the ring for her Championship celebration. Asuka went to shake Belair’s hand but it was a swerve and Asuka spit green mist in Belair’s face.
Officials ran in to try to clean up Belair who had her entire upper body covered with the mist. This is the official heel turn for Asuka. PWInsider reported earlier today that there was talk about Asuka turning heel to set up a rematch for Night of Champions.
During the build up for WrestleMania, WWE teased that Asuka was going down a darker path but they didn’t go all the way with the heel turn until tonight.
