WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defended her title against Zelina Vega at the WWE Backlash premium live event from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Vega, who had attire in the Puerto Rico flag, was emotional during the ring introductions. Rhea took her out early as she hit a powerbomb before tossing her around the ring. Rhea went for the rip tide, but Zelina hit a DDT then went for the 619 and hit it. Vega with a double knee strike off the middle rope for a near fall. Rhea with the rip tide for the win. Post-match, Vega got a standing ovation from the crowd.
