Zelina Vega’s biggest moment of her wrestling career happened tonight at WWE Backlash.
Vega was introduced and got a massive pop from the fans in Puerto Rico. Vega had gear on to represent the colors of the country, where her family is from. Before the match, she hugged her family at ringside and then she got very emotional in the ring during the ring introductions.
The reason for this is that Vega dedicated the match to her father, who passed away in 2001 during the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. Unfortunately for Vega, she lost to Ripley after taking the Rip Tide finisher.
