Released WWE star was recently at the Performance Center

Once the COVID-19 pandemic happened in 2020 and the world shut down, WWE cut a lot of talent and employees because they wanted to cut costs. They continued to do mass talent releases in 2021, but those cuts were significantly reduced when the company returned to live event touring that July.

Triple H brought back several wrestlers when he took over creative in 2022 once Vince McMahon walked away due to the hush money scandal before he returned in January as the Executive Chairman of the WWE Board.

Sha Samuels was released from his WWE contract as part of sweeping releases. He joined the company in 2021 before being let go in 2022. Before joining the company, he worked on the independent scene starting in 2014 and later worked for ICW and World of Sport Wrestling.

He joined WWE in January 2021 before making his debut that same month under the name Ed Harvey where he lost to Joe Coffey. Samuels renounced the “Ed Harvey” name before declaring himself as “Sha Samuels” He was later associated with long-time friend Noam Dar before being let go.

Pwinsider Elite reports that Samuels was spotted at the WWE Performance Center on Monday in Orlando, Florida. The report didn’t state the reason why he was there.

It should be noted that he mentioned on Instagram that he was serving as a guest coach at the Performance Center this past March, so it’s possible he was brought back for that role again.
