WWE WrestleMania 41 may be headed to Minneapolis

After years of talking about it, it looks like WWE may be heading to Minneapolis to host WrestleMania 41.

The company has already confirmed that WrestleMania 40 will take place on April 6 and 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Dating back to 2015, Minneapolis, Minnesota, was rumored to host Mania, including WrestleMania 33 in 2017, but Orlando, Florida, got the honor.

Minneapolis was the home of Verne Gagne’s AWA promotion, which created some of the biggest stars in wrestling history. They have hosted many WWE live events in the past.

Patrick Kessler, who works as a sports reporter for KFAN radio and is also a local CBS News personality in Minneapolis, noted on Twitter that the city is among the finalists to host the biggest event of the year for WWE. Should the company go that route, it would be the first time WrestleMania has been held in the city.

The U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis is where the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings play and would be the venue selected for Mania. It’s an indoor stadium, so the weather won’t be a concern. It has a capacity of up to 73,000 seats for events. He tweeted the following:

WWE shattered several records with WrestleMania 39 earlier this month in LA. Here is a confirmed list of WWE PLE events for this year:
