Ted DiBiase explained what he does for a living in 2021 interview

Following the news about Ted DiBiase Jr. being charged by the Department of Justice in the Mississippi welfare fraud case, there have been questions on social media about what he’s been up to since he left WWE in 2013.

In July of 2021, Chris Van Vliet had the chance to interview DiBiase, Jr. and he talked about the projects he was involved in.

DiBiase Jr. talked about a company called “16 Creative” that he launched with combat veterans. He also said that his company worked on his father’s website and they did a little bit of “product development” and his company would revive the Junkyard Dog brand through his estate. When asked what he does on a day-to-day basis, he said, “Yea, I’ve got an insurance company we’re launching in September I’m excited about. I was doing a lot of speaking and personal, professional, and leadership development training leading up to COVID. So that hit. Loved doing that but this is becoming more of a day-to-day. It’s really been fun because it’s got me reconnected with fans. I’ve been kind of off social media because you don’t want to get out there and promote a ton of stuff. I spent a lot of time since I left wrestling trying to find what am I doing next, like who is Ted DiBiase? People ask my wife or anybody that knows me closely, ‘What’s Teddy doing these days?’ That’s a loaded question, man. There’s a lot of business development deals. I’ve done a lot of biz dev, and consulting. Just really connecting dots for guys. Working with some incredible companies. Delos, a company out of New York City doing some great things. We could be here for an hour talking about all the different kind of deals, the opportunities that really have been afforded to me because of my time at WWE. I just learned how to capitalize on those. It took a minute and losing a lot…”

On Thursday, DiBiase Jr. was charged with the theft of millions of dollars in federal funds intended for needy families. It is not clear if those businesses referenced in the interview are part of the charges levied against him. DiBiase Jr. is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. DiBiase Jr. has pled not guilty. Scroll down to watch the full interview.
