Many fans have speculated that Chelsea Green was returning to WWE after finishing up with Impact Wrestling late last year, and it seems to be just a matter of time before she makes her WWE TV return.
As previously reported, Green has been under contract with WWE for quite some time and is still awaiting creative.
With tonight’s 30-Woman Royal Rumble match, there has been speculation she could make her return in the bout, although that’s not confirmed.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported today that “there have been tentative creative plans for her to play a comedic “Karen” type character based on what we heard.”
Regarding the speculation that her husband, Matt Cardona, could be on his way back to the company as well, Fightful asked him whether he would be coming in for the Rumble.
Cardona said, “In San Antonio the day before the Rumble? What am I, a mark?”
