Before WWE signed its streaming and library rights over to Peacock, they were trying to load up its own streaming service, WWE Network, with additional content. At one point, there was the idea of having different tiers with content from other wrestling promotions and other content.
They never went forward with the tier idea but did add content from independent promotions with which they had a working relationship, such as ICW, PROGRESS, and EVOLVE.
When WWE made a deal with Peacock in the United States, it came along with the indie content.
However, it looks like that content will be going away. Insane Championship Wrestling’s videos are currently being listed as expiring in the next two days on Peacock. A video from the wXw Wrestling promotion in Germany is slated to air this Sunday.
Heads up. It looks like some of the independent wrestling content is leaving Peacock in a couple of days. ICW shows listed below expire in 2 days. pic.twitter.com/P6VXLUAtkI
