WWE is interested in NJPW star

WWE is interested in a New Japan Pro Wrestling name, and that’s Hikuleo.

Fightful Select reports that higher-ups within WWE have expressed interest internally in Hikuleo and were told this had been the word for months.

This is notable news as Hikuleo is booked in a “loser leaves Japan” match against “Switchblade” Jay White in the near future. It’s unclear whether WWE has contacted him or when Hikuleo’s NJPW contract is up.

The report stated that intermediaries had been used to express interest in him, just like Finn Balor did with helping bring in Dragon Lee.

Hikuleo has wrestled for over six years after training at Team 3D Academy, the NJPW Dojo, and Fale Dojo. In addition to his work for NJPW, he has also wrestled for Impact Wrestling and AEW. He is the brother of Tama Tonga and the nephew of Haku.
