NJPW star Chase Owens has teased that he may appear on tonight’s Dynamite from the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas.
In a post on Twitter, Owens pointed out that this week’s show is taking place in his hometown and that he may take a trip down memory lane by visiting friends. Owens tweeted:
“AEW in my hometown of San Antonio tomorrow. Maybe I should go see a few old friends.”
Owens is a former IWGP Tag Team Champion alongside Bad Luck Fale and also a member of the current iteration of Bullet Club.
As of this writing, it’s unclear whether there are plans for Owens to appear on the show, but it’s certainly possible, considering the working relationship between AEW and NJPW. Here is the current card for tonight’s Dynamite:
AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter defends against Hikaru Shida
FTR vs. Gunn Club
Death Triangle vs. The Elite in a no DQ match (match 5 in the best of 7 series for the AEW Trios titles)
Rick Ross to mediate a face-to-face meeting between Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland
Bryan Danielson appearance
Ricky Starks appearance
AEW in my hometown of San Antonio tomorrow. Maybe I should go see a few old friends.
