Bronson Reed, also known as Jonah, is back in WWE after returning on Monday Night Raw.
His return was expected as Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Radio first reported in August that WWE was interested in bringing him back.
Fightful Select reports that NJPW wanted to retain him and was hopeful he would stay, but ”Bronson Reed was a priority hire for Triple H when he gained power within WWE.”
Reed has signed a contract with WWE and is done with NJPW, so it won’t be a situation like Karl Anderson, who is finishing up his NJPW dates through at least January 4 while also wrestling for WWE.
The report noted his return was not telegraphed internally on WWE run sheets, but talent knew he would be returning. One source stated that it “wasn’t an accident” that Bronson hadn’t wrestled for the last couple of months.
Although he was booked strongly in NXT under Triple H’s creative and seen as a future main roster player, he was released by the company in 2021. He found success in Impact Wrestling and NJPW. After beating Okada in August, he put Okada over on his way out of NJPW.
