Former WWE star Jack Gallagher loses pro-MMA debut

Jack Gallagher, a former WWE star, has now turned to MMA as his profession.

Under his real name, Jack Claffey, he made his pro-MMA debut over the weekend for Full Contact Contender, FCC 32, which aired on UFC fight pass. He fought as a bantamweight and took on Marlon Jones.

The fight didn’t last so long as Marlon TKO’d him in round one, which you can see below:

The former WWE star did win two amateur fights in 2015 and 2016. He posted a message on Instagram saying he is disappointed in himself:

“Here’s my favorite photo from last night. Very disappointed in myself and my performance. Happy the night ended with a win for @blackiechan_soda, who’s worked exceptionally hard for it. He worked the WWE Cruiserweight Classic in 2016. Following the tournament before signing with the company where he worked on the 205 Live brand. He was let go by WWE in June 2020 following a sexual assault allegation.
