REPORT: Vince McMahon plans on returning to WWE

As previously noted, the legal troubles seem to be increasing for former WWE CEO Vince McMahon.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that McMahon has told people that he refuses to pay settlements to Rita Chatterton and a former spa manager. Chatterton says she was raped by McMahon in the back of a limousine in 1986 and the spa manager says she was assaulted by McMahon at a California resort in 2011.

Furthermore, The Wall Street Journal reports that the 77-year-old McMahon has told people that he plans on making a comeback in WWE and he reportedly told people that he received bad advice from people close to him telling him to step down. McMahon also reportedly believes that the allegations and investigations would have blown over if he had stayed with the company.

McMahon announced in July that he was retiring but it was later stated in official company filings that he resigned. Prior to his resignation, McMahon told people that he had no intention of stepping down and the feeling at the time was that he would continue running the company. That changed as more allegations came to light in the WSJ.

Since McMahon’s exit, Stephanie McMahon, Nick Khan, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque have taken over as the key people behind-the scenes. Vince McMahon is still the majority shareholder.
