Ric Flair: ‘They’re picking on Tom Brady. Brady is not playing bad football. Mike Evans can’t catch.’

There has been a lot of chatter online about Tom Brady’s future in football after this season. Some fans believe he should retire after this season but there is some talk that he might come back next year.

NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport is reporting that all options are on the table for Brady and people who know him are wondering if he will keep playing. Brady previously stated that he planned to finish his career when he turned 45. He will turn 46 before the start of the next season.

WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair has been very supportive of Brady during his personal and professional struggles this year and he believes that Brady is still very good on the football field.

On his “To Be The Man” podcast, Flair talked about how athletes are respected more in Europe as they get older but fans in the United States pick on people like Tom Brady for being over the hill. Flair said, “In Europe, you never get old. You become more revered. Over here, you can have one bad day, throw one bad pitch and you’re the worst player…They’re picking on Brady. Brady is not playing bad football. Mike Evans can’t catch.”

“I’m standing up for Tom, baby.” Flair continued, “You can’t throw any disrespect at seven damn Super Bowl rings. And [Aaron] Rodgers cannot catch the ball that he’s throwin at two receivers. Jesus how many balls can these guys drop?”

It is worth stating that Flair’s comments were made before the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost 35-7 to the San Francisco 49ers so perhaps, Flair will have a different opinion this week.
