Another former WWE star is returning to the company

Triple H is bringing back another star that had been released, and that’s Eric Young, who is expected to be returning to WWE soon.

Pwinsider.com reported the news, although there’s no word yet on his role or when he will start with the company.

The former two-time Impact World Champion and three-time Impact Tag Team Champion was written off television on Thursday’s Impact on AXS, where he appeared to be killed by fellow Violent by Design member Deaner in a vignette taped in a prison. They were fighting over a shiv when Young urged Deaner to “eliminate the sickness.”The report noted the vignette was filmed in secret.

In his first stint with the WWE from 2016 to 2020, Young led the Sanity group in NXT, capturing the Tag Team Titles in the process. The group eventually broke once after being on the main roster, and Young was demoted to mostly competing on WWE Main Event. He was released as a result of the budget cuts in April 2020.

Young returned to Impact that same year, making a surprise appearance at Slammiversary and winning back the company’s top championship a few months later. He created the VBD faction, which he led almost the whole time of his return.
