MJF: ‘We are closer than ever to stepping out of the dark shadow casted over AEW by a bunch of bullsh*t’

MJF sent out an interesting message on Twitter regarding his belief that he can be the one to lead AEW out of the darkness that has been over the promotion for the majority of 2022, whether that be injuries, arrests, suspensions, and backstage drama.

Top stars have been sidelined throughout the year due to injuries while others have been suspended for backstage fights. Jeff Hardy was arrested for DUI and suspended by AEW. The Elite and CM Punk were involved in a brawl after the All Out scrum. Despite the issues, stars like Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, and Jon Moxley have stepped up as locker room leaders.

MJF, who will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Title this Saturday at Full Gear, wrote the following on Twitter:

“There’s been a shadow casted over AEW by a bunch of fucking bullshit. We are closer then ever to stepping out of the darkness and into the light. We have the roster. We have the platform. Now all we need is stability, change, and leadership. We need the Devil. I’m ready.”

When MJF first returned at AEW All Out, he had his sights set on CM Punk as they had a staredown after Punk won the World Title in the main event. However, the backstage brawl overshadowed his moment and changed plans.
