Another former WWE star is returning to the company

Last week, Emma (Tenille Dashwood) returned during Friday Night SmackDown and it looks like another former WWE star could be back very soon.

Dave Meltzer reported in last week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE is interested in signing Mia Yim. Fightful confirmed today that there is indeed interest from WWE and they are aware that her Impact Wrestling deal was coming up. There is no word on a start date but “she’s expected to be brought back soon.”

Yim was let go by the company last year as part of “budget cuts.” She was first signed to a WWE developmental contract in 2018 after a strong performance at the Mae Young Classic.

After her run on the NXT brand ended, she was moved up to the Raw roster to be part of the Retribution stable under the name Reckoning. After the group split up, Yim was drafted to SmackDown but was rarely used.

Yim recently praised Triple H for being someone who actually cares about the well-being of his talent.
