Johnny Gargano sat down for an interview with Byron Saxton to reveal “the truth” about The Miz. The segment was produced similarly to a CBS’ “60 Minutes” segment.
Gargano talked about being close to Dexter Lumis and the family falling apart because he lost his job and Miz took advantage of Lumis.
A voicemail was played that showed that Miz paid Lumis to put him in a sleeper hold several weeks ago. In other words, he staged the attacks for himself because he wanted a celebrity stalker for attention. Gargano even went as far as to say that Miz paid Lumis to cost him the United States Title in the cage match and at some point, Miz lost control over the situation and Lumis is coming after him until he “gets what’s owed.”
Corey Graves didn’t buy the story. It’s still unclear where this storyline is headed but they are hinting at The Miz suing for defamation. If you missed it, click below to watch the Gargano segment from Raw.
