CM Punk and The Elite still banned from talking publicly about AEW All Out brawl

The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) were backstage at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite, an indication that they will be making their return to television soon.

This is a clear sign that the investigation into the AEW All Out brawl is over, but fans shouldn’t expect to hear those involved talk publicly about the incident.

On Wednesday’s show, a vignette aired featuring several iconic AEW moments featuring Omega and The Young Bucks, with the stars being ‘erased’ from these moments. CM Punk is still not back, as he is currently injured and recovering from surgery. He’s also seemingly on his way out of the company as he’s in talks with AEW about a potential contract buy-out.

Before Dynamite, Punk’s camp gave their side of the incident and noted that Punk’s dog was injured in the fight.

While speaking on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Punk, Ace Steel, and The Elite still can’t talk about what happened even though the third-party investigation into the brawl at All Out is over.

“Everyone is still banned from talking publicly about what happened and the situation. The investigation is over, and you can tell by who’s back and by who’s not back, also kind of like what Punk said.”

Meltzer continued, “And based on who’s back and who is not back, that will tell you essentially what the investigation found. Because if what happened, happened as he claimed, it would be the other way around. He would be the one back, and they would be the ones not back. So I think that’s a pretty clear thing as far as what the investigation found.”

It added, “I don’t know what he (Punk) is allowed to say publicly, but I do know that the other guys are not allowed to talk about it. You’re not going to get anything from them for… maybe never, but certainly not any time soon.”
