Santos Escobar, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde of Legado Del Fantasma made their main roster debuts by attacking Hit Row during the October 7 edition of WWE SmackDown.
However, Elektra Lopez didn’t join them despite being aligned with the faction for over a year in NXT. Instead, it was the returning Zelina Vega who was aligned with the group during their debut.
As previously reported, many in WWE believed Lopez would be called up to the main roster, including herself, but that didn’t happen.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE originally told Lopez that she would remain part of the stable moving forward and even had a flight out to Worcester booked.
However, WWE decided to go with Vega instead of Lopez because Legado Del Fantasma’s first feud will be against Hit Row, and the company wants the women from both factions to wrestle. The feeling was that Vega would make the better opponent for B-Fab over Lopez.
