MJF: I have broken my hand many times punching my reflection, when I walk through that curtain I don’t like me either

For the second week in a row on AEW Dynamite, MJF has shown a different side of himself. Whether this turns out to be a swerve or not, his segments appear to be an attempt to put him over as a complicated guy who deep down is a babyface.

MJF was interviewed by Alex Marvez on tonight’s Dynamite in Toronto. MJF took issue with Stokely Hathaway for interrupting him. MJF told Stokely that he’s on strike number 2 because the first strike was last week.

MJF said that he and William Regal both have a dark past and he is not afraid to tell the story of Regal’s past. On Wheeler Yuta, MJF said he doesn’t know if he was going to shake Wheeler Yuta’s hand last week.

MJF then stated that he learned at a young age that “nice guys finish last” and he knows that everyone in the back and the fans hate him. He continued, “You don’t have a God damn clue what it’s like to be MJF waking up every morning splashing water on my face looking in the morning and knowing I have no choice but to be the bad guy. I have broken my hand many times punching my reflection. You don’t like me? Tough sh** because guess what, when I walk through that curtain I don’t like me either.”

He ended the promo by saying that he does what it takes to become the World Champion. If you missed it, click below to watch the entire promo.
