WWE’s Ronda Rousey takes issue with fans having a double standard

Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey have been feuding for the last few months. At Extreme Rules, Rousey beat Morgan to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.

On the September 30th edition of SmackDown, there was a segment where Morgan attacked Rousey with a baseball bat from behind following her match, leading to an all-out brawl.

During a live stream on her YouTube channel, Rousey, a heel, noted that this segment was an example of the double standard that fans have as it was a cheap shot, but Morgan, a babyface, was still cheered.

“I feel like that’s a double standard that everybody else gets to attack me from behind, gets to hit me with bats, gets to do all this other stuff, and [fan’s reaction are], ‘Oh what a commendable, inspiring babyface.’ So I’m like, what the heck. I can’t even be a heel when I’m a heel.”

It will be interesting to see whether Morgan gets a rematch for the title she lost to Rousey. In a backstage interview with Morgan after the match, WWE teased the start of a darker gimmick for Morgan going forward.
