AEW star files trademark for nickname

Powerhouse Hobbs applied to trademark the term ‘Monstar’ on September 29th with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

It was made through Michael E. Dockins. Here is the description:

“G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler, and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes.”

Hobbs broke into the business in 2009 and worked for various promotions such as All Pro Wrestling, Gold Rush Pro Wrestling, Pro Championship Wrestling, and United Wrestling Network.

His AEW journey began in 2020 when he lost his debut match to Orange Cassidy on an episode of AEW Dark. He would later be paired with Taz as part of Team Taz with Ricky Starks and Brian Cage.

Hobbs recently feuded with Starks over the FTW Title.
