There will be some AEW talent missing tonight’s Dynamite due to Hurricane Ian. AEW President Tony Khan previously noted that talent wouldn’t be required to travel to the show.
The hurricane is forcing mandatory evacuations in Western Florida. Millions of people will encounter at least tropical-storm-force winds because of the hurricane. This includes Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee residents.
A Lot of AEW/WWE wrestlers live in the state of Florida. WWE previously postponed NXT shows this weekend because of the hurricane.
GRAPSODY’s host on Fightful.com, Will Washington, noted that there will be a few AEW stars missing tonight’s show:
A few prominent performers who reside in Florida won't be at Dynamite/Rampage today.
Just hoping everyone stays safe out there.
