Welcome to our live coverage of AEW Dynamite, which is emanating from The MVP Arena in Albany, New York. Announced for tonight’s show, Toni Storm will team up with Athena to take on the team of Britt Baker and Serena Deeb, Jungle Boy will take on Jay Lethal, Jon Moxley will take on Sammy Guevara in a semifinal tournament match, and Bryan Danielson will take on Chris Jericho is a semifinal tournament match.
Match 1: Jon Moxley vs Sammy Guevara
– The match starts off with Guevara retreating to the outside, Guevara then lands a series of forearms on Moxley in the corner, Moxley then hits a closeline on Guevara, both men then exchange a series of chops, Guevara then hits a cannonball through the second rope onto Moxley on the outside, Guevara then stomps on Moxley’s jaw against the steel steps as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Moxley land a reverse DDT on Guevara on the apron, Guevara then hits springboard cutter on Moxley to secure a nearfall, Guevara then hits a standing Spanish fly on Moxley to secure yet another nearfall, Moxley then hits a german suplex on Guevara from the second rope, Anna Jay then distracts the ref as Anna Jay lowblows Moxley, Guevara then rolls up Moxley to secure a nearfall, Guevara then lands a series of forearms to the face of Moxley, followed by a jumping knee, Moxley then hits the death rider on Guevara to secure the pinfall victory.

– MJF makes his entrance, MJF tells Albany to keep their fat mouths shut, MJF says that he hasn’t slept since him and Moxley came face-to-face, MJF says that it pisses him off that Moxley isn’t scared, MJF says that he isn’t playing a character but Moxley is, MJF says that Moxley was raised uneducated and poor, MJF says that Moxley got bullied and beat down, MJF says that Moxley is still a scared little boy, MJF says that Moxley got sober, MJF says that his brain is more dangerous than Moxley’s diseases, MJF says that he’s a demon that Moxley is dealing with, MJF then introduces Stokely Hathaway and his stable, Stokely says that he flew here to see his best friend, Stokely said that he saved MJF from quitting AEW, Stokely says that once MJF doesn’t need him, they will go their separate ways,, Stokely says that he’s a friend of MJF, Stokely says that blackmail turns him on, Stokely then says that he appreciates W. Morrissey, Stokely says that The Gunn Club no longer wants to walk in the shadow of their broke ass daddy, Stokely says that Ethan Page wants to win the All-Atlantic champion.
Match 2: Jungle Boy vs Jay Lethal
– The match starts off with Lethal backing Jungle Boy back into the corner, Jungle Boy then attempts fly over the top rope but Satnam Singh stops him, Lethal then hits a spinebuster on Jungle Boy on the top rope as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Jungle Boy hit a closeline on Lethal, Jungle Boy then hits a brainbuster on Lethal to secure a nearfall, Lethal then hits a russian leg sweep from the second rope onto Jungle Boy, Lethal then hits the lethal combination on Jungle Boy, followed by a tope suicida, Lethal then hits an elbow from the top rope onto Jungle Boy tondecire a nearfall, Jungle Boy then locks in the snare trap to secure the submission victory.

– We get a video package showing Hook training with Action Bronson.
Match 3: Powerhouse Hobbs vs Matt Dimartino
– The match starts off with Powerhouse Hobbs backing Matt into the corner, Hobbs then hits the spinebuster on Matt to secure the quick pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Powerhouse Hobbs at 0:27.
– After the match, Hobbs says that Ricky is tough, but at All Out it only took four minutes to beat Starks, Ricky Starks then appears in the crowd, Starks then lands a series of punches on Hobbs, Starks then hits Hobbs with a microphone, causing Hobbs to retreat up the ramp.
Match 4: AEW tag team championships: Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee (c) vs The Lucha Brothers
– The match starts off with Swerve and Fenix, Swerve then hits a hurricarana from the top rope on Fenix, Lee then lands an overhand chop on Fenix as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Swerve lock in a gory special submission on Fenix, Penta then hits the made in Penta on Swerve, Penta goes for the pin but Lee throws Fenix into both men to break up the pin, Penta then hits a Canadian destroyer on Lee as Fenix hits a Spanish fly on Swerve, Keith Lee then hits the big bang catastrophe on Penta to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall and STILL AEW tag team champions: Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland at 8:14.
– Orange Cassidy hits the orange punch on Pac backstage, Cassidy says that Pac won’t be a double champion for much longer.
Match 5: Britt Baker and Serena Deeb vs Athena and Toni Storm
– The match starts off with Serena and Toni, Deeb then slams Athena’s leg against the apron as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Athena hit an enziguri on Britt, Toni then hits a tornado DDT on Britt on the outside, Britt then superkicks Athena and Storm, Britt then sends Athena into the steel steps, Serena then sends Toni face first into a steel chair, followed by a rollup to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall: Serena Deeb and Britt Baker at 8:33.
– After the match, Britt superkicks Athena, Britt then hits the curbstomp on Athena, Hayter then hits Toni in the stomach and back with the chair.
Match 6: Bryan Danielson vs Chris Jericho
– The match starts off with Bryan landing a series of chops and kick on Jericho, Bryan then hits a running dropkick onto Jericho on the outside, followed by a running knee from the apron to the face of Jericho, Bryan then sends Jericho shoulder first into the ringpost, Bryan then hits a diving headbutt from the top rope on Jericho to secure a nearfall, Jericho then hits a springboard crossbody onto Bryan on the outside, both men then exchange a series of chops, both men then crossbody into each other as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Jericho hit a hurricarana on Bryan from the top rope, Bryan then lands a series of elbows to the side of Jericho’s head, Jericho then lands a series of elbows on Bryan’s head, Jericho then hits a codebreaker on Bryan, Bryan then hits a running knee to the face of Jericho, Bryan then gets sent to the outside with a big backdrop, a doctor then checks on Bryan’s ankle, Jericho then slams Bryan’s ankle on the outside, Jericho then locks in a figure four leglock on Bryan against the ringpost, Jericho then locks Bryan in the walls of Jericho, Jericho then turns it into a single leg boston crab, Bryan the locks in the LeBell lock on Jericho to secure the submission victory.
