Fans will be waiting to see the first-ever match between The Briscoes and the Lucha Brothers, as it will no longer be taking place at Warrior Wrestling 25.
The promotion announced on social media that the bout is off “after consultation from our friends at ROH and AEW, we have agreed to alter our card for Warrior Wrestling 25.”
It was originally supposed to happen in March at a House of Glory show, but a change was made due to Rey Fenix’s injury at the time. The good news for fans attending the show is they will still see the two teams in action.
Penta El Zero Miedo & Fenix vs. Brian Cage & Gringo Loco while Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. The Rascalz (Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz) will now take place on the October 2nd show in Chicago, Illinois.
AEW is “sending” Eddie Kingston to compete on the show against Calvin Tankmain as a make-good. He will also be doing a pre-show meet & greet.
AEW/ROH President Tony Khan likely wants to save that match for a Ring of Honor show because it is a first-ever bout between the two teams and that’s the probable reason it was nixed.
…They will each compete in separate matches.
BUT…..AEW will be sending EDDIE KINGSTON to compete at Warrior Wrestling 25 and appear at the pre-show fan fest as part of this change.
We're excited to host the Mad King!
