WWE tried to bring back two former stars when Vince McMahon was still in charge

A former WWE tag team was discussed for a return to the company earlier this year but those talks are said to have fizzled.

PWInsider.com reports that there were overtures made by WWE about having the Good Brothers, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, return. The overtures were made when Vince McMahon was still with the company.

The report states that the talks fizzled because Gallows and Anderson weren’t going to come back for a cheap price. They were burnt before in 2019 when they opted to re-sign with WWE instead of taking a deal with AEW. WWE released them several months later.

Gallows and Anderson’s deal with Impact Wrestling was set to expire in July but Fightful reports that they agreed to a short extension to work the recent tapings in Dallas. They also have dates for New Japan Pro Wrestling next month, in addition to the 2023 Wrestle Kingdom shows.

At this point, a WWE return doesn’t seem to be in the cards for them but anything is possible now with the new regime.
