WWE star reportedly pulled from Friday’s SmackDown due to being unvaccinated

WWE made a change to the Women’s Tag Team Title tournament match on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.

WWE had originally advertised Nikkita Lyons & Zoey Stark vs. Natalya & Sonya Deville in the tournament match on the show. Former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) replaced Stark and Lyons in the bout and went over to advance to the semi-finals next week.

Stark suffered an injury that is believed to be a concussion during her match against NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose on Tuesday at NXT Heatwave.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Daily Update on F4Wonline.com that Lyons was pulled from the show as she wasn’t allowed to travel into Canada because she hasn’t been vaccinated for COVID-19.

Meltzer wrote, “Lyons wouldn’t have been allowed to go as they didn’t realize she wasn’t vaccinated and thus couldn’t get into Canada.”

Canada has immigration policies that require those traveling to the country to provide proof of vaccination.
