Welcome to our live coverage of AEW Rampage, which is emanating From The Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia. Announced for tonight’s show, Hook will defend his FTW championship against the debuting Zack Clayton, Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland will defend their AEW tag team championships against Private Party, The Trustbusters will take on Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends in a trios tag team championship tournament first round match, Athena will take on Penelope Ford, and we will fear from the ROH world champion, Claudio Castagnoli.
– AEW Rampage starts off with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta making their entrance, Claudio says that it feels good standing in front of everyone as world champion, Claudio then priases Ricky Steamboat, Dustin Rhodes then interrupts, Dustin says that it’s a dream of his to win a world title, Claudio says that the chase is what kept him going, Claudio says that Dustin still has his fire, Claudio then accepts Dustin’s challenge to a championship match.
Match 1: Tag titles: Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee (c) vs Private Party
– The match starts off with Lee and Kassidy, Lee then throws Kassidy but Kassidy lands on his feet, Kassidy then hits a hurricarana on Swerve, followed by a corkscrew over the top rope as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Swerve hit a stomp on Quen, Lee then throws Quen, followed by a closeline to secure a nearfall, Lee then hits a pounce into Kassidy, sending him into the ring ropes, Swerve then hits the sidekick on Quen to secure a nearfall, Swerve then hits the JML driver to secure the pinfall victory.
Winners via pinfall and STILL AEW tag team champions: Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee at 5:58.
Match 2: FTW championship: Hook (c) vs Zack Clayton
– Hook immediately locks in the redrum to secure the submission victory.
Winner via submission and STILL FTW champion: Hook at 0:11
Match 3: Buddy Matthews vs Sirpentico
– The match starts off with Buddy hitting a shotgun dropkick on Sirpentico into the corner, Buddy then hits a Buddy driver to secure the fast pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Buddy Matthews at 1:09
– After the match, Miro appears on the ramp, Miro then throws down Malakai’s Mask, Buddy and Miro then brawl on the ramp, Miro then hits a running splash on Buddy in the corner, followed by a series of stiff punches, Miro then hits a superkick on Buddy.
Match 4: Penelope Ford vs Athena
– The match starts off with both women locking up, Penelope then hits a shoulder tackle on Athena, Athena then hits an armdrag on Penelope, Penelope then hits a corkscrew onto Athena on the apron as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Athena land a running dropkick on Penelope into the barricade, Athena then hits the top rope stunner to secure the pinfall victory.
Winner via pinfall: Athena at 5:40.
– After the match, The Baddies attack Athena, Jade then breaks Athena’s wings with a sledgehammer as Athena is forced to watched, Jade then hits Athena In the stomach with the sledgehammer.
Match 5: Orange Cassidy and The Best Friends vs The Trustbusters
– The match starts off with Daivari and Taylor, Daivari then lands a series of kicks on Chuck, Trent then hits a running knee to the face of Daivari, The Best Friends are beat down on the outside as we go to commercial break.
*Commercial break*
– We are back from commercial as we see Trent hit a spinning forearm to the face of Daivari, Trent then hits a suplex on Slim J before tagging in Orange Cassidy, Cassidy then does the parody kicks to a downed Slim J, Cassidy then hits a top rope crossbody on Slim J, followed by a DDT on Daivari, Parker then takes down Cassidy with a splash, Parker then takes down both Chuck and Trent with a closeline, Cassidy, Chuck, and Trent all hit a triple team legdrop on Parker in the corner, Slim J then hits a corkscrew from the top rope to the outside, taking out Chuck and Trent, Trent then spears Parker into the barricade, Cassidy then hits an orange punch on Parker on the outside, sending him into the crowd, Cassidy then goes to the top rope but Sonny Kiss grabs his leg, Danhausen then appears in the crowd to out a curse on Sonny Kiss, Trent and Chuck then hits a doubleteam chokeslam on Slim J, Cassidy then hits a splash off the shoulders of Trent and Chuck onto Slim J to secure the pinfall victory.
