WWE NXT will present one of the most stacked episodes of the weekly television show in recent memory tonight with Heatwave.
This special will be headlined by NXT Champion Bron Breakker vs. JD McDonagh, formerly known as NXT UK’s Jordan Devlin. The other two title bouts will see NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes vs. Giovanni Vinci and NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. Zoey Stark.
There will also be a grudge match between Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade that has been built up over the last few weeks since Jade turned heel by costing Perez a shot at becoming the NXT Women’s Champion.
Finally, Santos Escobar vs. Tony D’Angelo in a street fight will take place with a notable stipulation. If D’Angelo wins, Escobar leaves NXT, but if Escobar wins, Legado Del Fantasma is free of D’Angelo. Should Escobar lose, that indicates he might be getting called up to the main roster.
Triple H previewed the show, the first time doing so since last year when he was still in charge of NXT creative before being sidelined with health issues, on Twitter. He thinks the North American Title bout will be a match fans don’t want to miss. You can see his tweets below:
