Ronda Rousey suggests WWE should bring back wrestlers released due to “budget cuts”

Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE television from a storyline suspension during Friday’s episode of SmackDown.

She was involved in the contract signing for the title match between Shayna Baszler and SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan at Clash at the Castle. During it, she dumped out money on the table to pay her fine.

In a recent post on Instagram, Rousey suggested that WWE should use the money to bring back released wrestlers. After the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE released a lot of talent and blamed it on budget cuts despite the company making more money than ever.

Rousey wrote, “Use that cash wisely @wwe – Maybe it can help with those “budget cuts.” Bring back some asses for me to kick.”

As previously noted, Becky Lynch took a jab at Rousey for doing this similar segment.

Since Triple H has taken over creative from Vince McMahon, he has brought back several released stars, including Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, Dakota Kai, and Hit Row (Dolla, Ashante Adonis & B-Fab). More wrestlers are expected to be brought back.
