Mickie James’ time as an in-ring wrestler might be over as she last wrestled for Impact Wrestling in July when she got a win over Chelsea Green.
As she was leaving the arena, Impact cameras caught up with her, she stated that you’re only as good as your last match and she is going home. At the time, many believed this was purely a storyline retirement.

However, it could be a reality as she responded to a fan on Twitter about being Asuka’s tag team partner for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament by writing, “No. I feel I’m done in wrestling.”
Her husband, Nick Aldis, doubled down on what James tweeted by noting she dripped a bombshell, indicating that she is done with wrestling:
“MJ just casually dropping a bombshell then plugging our #WWERaw watchalong on @millionsdotco but yeah tonight we’re debuting on this new awesome fan platform.”

Time will tell whether this is a real retirement from wrestling, but if it is, James has plenty to be proud of as she is one of the most decorated female wrestlers in the history of the wrestling business.
She is a five-time WWE Women’s Champion, former WWE Divas Champion, and a four-time Impact Knockouts Champion.
